Research and Insights Specialist at Mukuru

Duties and Responsibilities (Include but is not limited to):

• Serve as a strategic partner by discussing business problems with stakeholders in order to define research projects and proposals

• Manage, supervise, and help execute all phases of research studies:

  • Proposal

  • Design

  • Questionnaire preparation

  • Analysis

  • Report writing and presentation

  • Submit routine progress reports to relevant business stakeholders

• Develop and manage project activity timelines and tracking documents for management of research projects

• Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple research studies and delegate or coordinate duties with research staff

• Monitor data flow and manage data collection activities proactively; identify and resolve data discrepancies

• Where applicable, collaborate with public and private sector partners, including academic and research organizations, to facilitate implementation of project objectives

• Conduct data analysis and draft study reports and in collaboration with the BI team

Key Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent

• Degree / Diploma in relevant field

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to provide input to the strategic and operational plans for research projects. Accountable for achieving results and responsible for setting clear objectives and measures for self and others

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion on significant matters related to customer research

• Experience in the design, development, and monitoring of research projects, either through previous work or study experience

• Proficient with data analysis

• Comfortable to travel within South Africa and cross border to key corridors if required

• Experience in and comfortable presenting to senior audiences
