    Research Assistant - Centurion

    Description

    Research Assistant

    • Assist RTC programmes, Research Projects and SI Portfolio
    • Assist Right SI HoD to provide RTC programmes, Research Projects and SI Portfolio with Research and Publishing related support
    • Support RTC implementation research including evidence on the effectiveness of interventions   
    • Support RTC as a key support to the NDOH, NHLS, and NT for health policy development         
    • Support development of an effective system for accessing policies and related costs previously captured
    • Help ensure that evidence from RTC research and methods are available in peer-reviewed domain
    • Provide support to RTC M&E teams in a timeous and effective manner as required
    • Help document and continuously improve Right to Care’s central M&E system

    Requirements

    Required Education

    • Masters level degree in in Research, Economics, Epidemiology, or Public Health, Commerce, or related field
    • Working knowledge of HIV, TB, and/or non-communicable diseases
    • Relevant tertiary or qualification or diploma

    Required Minimum Experience

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in Research
    • Proficiency in writing Reports and Manuscripts for publishing
    • Proficiency in Data Management and Analysis

    Knowledge/ Skills

    • Able to work in a team under supervision
    • Able to work and think independently
    • Able to maintain patient and work confidentiality
    • Good organizational and communication skills
    • MS Access, SQL, Oracle or other database software
    • Knowledge of Stata, SAS or similar analysis software
    • Expertise in Excel
