The SAMRC extends an invite to graduates to apply and participate in an internship programme in the Health Systems Research Unit in Cape Town.

Research Intern

• Qualification: Masters in social sciences, public health or related discipline
• Research experience: Conducting qualitative interviews, administering surveys, data analysis (both qualitative and quantitative data analysis), and project coordination
• Languages: Fluent in English and at least one other official South African language
• Location: Must be based in Cape Town and be willing to travel within South Africa

Other Criteria

• Solid interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to define, analyse and resolve problems.
• Willingness to learn.

Advantageous

• Interest in Sexual and reproductive health research
• Publication in a peer reviewed journal
