Research Technologist: Research Assistant (R796B) at The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC)

Responsibilities:

Management of the research site at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital (PMMH) which will include:

• Regular liaison with staff at the drug-resistant TB clinic at PMMH
• Recruitment and enrolment of study participants
• Extraction of data from clinical notes and capturing it into RedCap, ensuring data is collected, cleaned, organized and stored according to SAMRC ethical principles
• Administration of depression screening tools
• Management of electronic data collection tools and processes.
• Submission of weekly reports to study team

Core Requirements:

• Matric with1-2 Years accredited course/ certification
• 5 years experience of working in TB/HIV studies
• 2 – 3 years experience in research/project management
• Experience with conducting screening, obtaining consent/assent and quantitative data collection.
• Experience in liaising with health care workers from Department of Health.
• Experience in data capturing
• Fluent in isiZulu and English
• Drivers license and willing to drive to Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital
