Resident Engineer

We are looking for a Resident Engineer for one of our clients. 

• BSc degree in Civil Engineering essential
• Registered as a Professional Engineer
• Minimum of ten years general experience, with at least five years in rural road rehabilitation and maintenance works.
• Supervision experience of rural roads construction/rehabilitation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with engineering contract procedures and with contract administration including OPRC (Performance-Based maintenance contracts) is a major advantage.
• Experience in labour intensive works practices is desirable.
• Persons with extensive experience in performance-based or routine maintenance “design build” projects or rural road maintenance projects will be considered.

 The objective of the assignment is to provide Monitoring/Supervision services for gravel road rehabilitation, and upgrading to a paved and gravel standard, of indicative feeder roads and the subsequent multi-year maintenance period in order to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the contracts to be implemented by the contractors through Design, Build and Maintain (DBM) contracts following the Output and Performance-based Road Type-Contracts (OPRC).

The Monitoring/Supervision Services requirements also include the supervision of the environmental and social requirements that need to be satisfied by the Contractors in designing and executing the Works.
