    Retail Marketing Lead (Samsung CentralAfrica)

    KEY RESULT AREAS

    • Lead Retail Strategy development and implementation for all SCA markets (IM + CE divisions, all products)
    • Deliver localized amplification toolkits that deliver flagship initiative and promotional sell-out targets (IM + CE divisions)
    • Grow Samsung Retail Assets (SES/SMS) Profitability YoY
    • Improve Field Force management, learning & development engagement as well as incentive platform (Samsung+)
    • Improve Sell-out data coverage YoY (Retail Universe Surveys + Retail Mapping)
    • Drive data visibility and improvement plans (Antenna Store/MCS project)
    • Engage with branch Retail teams to ensure in market delivery and execution (KPIs, performance)

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Adopt and localize Global Retail & Marketing Strategies and ATL/BTL assets for the African Environment
    • To manage the Retail team as strategic partners to PMs in order to optimize in-store activity and thereby increase sell-out
    • Develop tactical plans within retail to ensure Samsung Objectives are maintained.
    • Reporting back on retail performance to all key stakeholders
    • Build the right capability across branches for Retail Marketing.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A relevant commercial qualification

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 5 - 10 years retail sales experience
    • FMCG / Retail experience
    • Relationship Management
    • Sub-Saharan Africa Retail / Marketing experience highly beneficial

    KPA/ MAJOR TASKS

    (MAX 5)

       1. Retail Operations

    • Localize Global RM Frameworks & processes
    • Collaborate with Marketing & PMs to deliver Retail amplification toolkits behind initiatives
    • Collaborate with RM Visual Merch + Channel Manager on BTL activation of marketing plans
    • Adapt / Create MDE & Phone+ strategy for retail and deliver toolkit for branches
    • Monthly brief and directives to branches
    • Weekly Status meetings

    2. Field Force Management

    • Adapt global support material for local relevance
    • Provide strategic direction on FF allocation, optimization and incentives with sell-out focus
    • Collaborate with Biz Innovation to improve sell-out data collection and validation methods
    • Develop surveys to monitor execution and gather FF feedback
    • Look for business opportunities to drive regional scale

    3. Retail Innovation

    • Lead Retail Universe refresher cycle ( 1 x year) and Retail Mapping refresher cycle (4 x year) in each branch & division
    • Look for new opportunities to expand business
    • Collaborate with Marketing intelligence on competitive response models

    4. Retail Learning & Development

    • Adapt global/SSA trainings to Rest of African context
    • Align Retail FF and function capability calendar
    • Implement training scoring + track quality

    5. Retail Team

    Manage priorities and support structures to enable KPI delivery and execution
