    Risk Coordinator

    • This person will help with all the behind the scene needs keep day to day running smoothly. In addition he/she will support  by assisting with some administrative tasks. Implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring deliverables. Acting as the first person of contact, operating as the project manager for organizational tasks and events.

    Safety & Environment Management

    • Manage the development, execution and communication of Reward & Recognition strategy and policies for Tiger Brands South Africa and other international entities
    • Ensuring, where requested, that accidents in the workplace are fully investigated and reported as per legal requirements of the Occupational Health ​and Safety Act and Workman’s Compensation Act.​
    • Keeping the LTIFR rate within the parameters of the National average for Food Manufacturing Companies.​
    • External Auditing by Alexander Forbes {MARSH}& Certification Bodies.​
    • Monthly reporting to the Tiger Brands Risk & Sustainability Director.​
    • External Auditing by Alexander Forbes, SABS, SGS, KPMG, etc.​
    • Measurement against standards as outlined in the Tiger Brands Environmental System.​

    Facility and Utilities

    • Implementation of Utility preventative steps at all Tiger Brands sites as per pre planned programme ensuring contingency planning in case of utility outages of Tiger Brands sites​ investigations performed in​ accordance with constitution​ and legal constraints of law of​evidence.​

     Safety Training

    • Having training courses approved by the SETAS ensuring that all employees are trained on a yearly basis ensuring an empowered workforce and also ensuring that Tiger Brands can claim moneys back from the Skills Development Levy by giving approved training to its employees.​
    • Advise & Liaise with line management on Internal and external disciplinary Procedures.​
    • Ensuring appropriate physical & electronic support measures are in place.​
    • Employee vetting through Implementation of Tiger Risk Control Standards.​
    • Assess service provider compliance to PSIRA legislation​

    Security

    • Liaison with Governmental Depts, SAPS, Justice and National Intelligence etc.​
    • To professionally investigate all business related criminal activities in an unbiased and professional manner​
    • Appointment and management of a Security service provider

    Risk Management

    • Protect the business from internal & external threat of sabotage, arson, theft, robbery, malicious damage to property and all criminally related risk.​
    • Ensuring that Tiger Brands Risk Control Standards are maintained through policies, procedures and systems.​
    • Continuous risk assessments through formalized risk surveys.​
    • Ensuring employee compliance against Risk Control standards​
    • Protect the business against business interruption and identified insurable loss.​
    • Ensuring that all Tiger Brands sites have been audited and profiled on a yearly basis as per the fixed pre-planned schedule set out in conjunction with all Tiger

    Minimum requirements

    • National Higher Diploma Environmental Health or Qualification in Legal aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
    • Minimum of 5 Years Risk Management experience in the Food/Beverage industry
