Responsibilities

Job Overview:

• Organises the availability of vehicles, drivers, routes and products to meet the specified delivery schedules.
• Organised distribution incl. products, people, vehicles, routes and customers.
• Optimised people utilization.
• Audited routes and updated routes and customer information.
• Debrief Drivers when they return from route.
• Assist Drivers with resolving issues they may encounter on route or with customers.
• Liaise with the recons team on the drivers’ books.
• Daily Route Planning.
• Use daily volume requirement to prepare the daily delivery plan.
• Plan the best routes and ensure minimal impact on customers.
• Plan customer special delivery requirements.
• Agree delivery schedule revisions with customer.
• Daily Vehicle Monitoring.
• Monitor delivery progress.
• Report delivery delays per procedure.
• Report incidents on route that may impact on deliveries.
• Communicate delays or plan deviations that may impact on the customer timeously.
• Keep the customer up to date on the progress of their delivery where delays have occurred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
• Matric.
