To build and develop the regional market in conjunction with the regional Site Sales teams and to drive the long-term business strategy for the product service line with a view to increase market share and to promote retention of aftermarket business. Continuously improve product operational efficiency and the technical competence of the local team in the product line. Provide expert knowledge and support for the product line, from a process, mechanical, operational, maintenance and R&D input perspective. Your responsibilities
Work with site account managers / technical teams for a specific product lines while executing go-to-market strategy aligned with respective global service line strategy.
Support customers and their spare parts & U&R throughout the product life cycle, improving aftermarket growth and increasing client base including technical visits, trials, and support.
Technical mine site visits is key, in order to supply required technical support on-site. In close collaboration with Site account manager.
Provide case by case support to Purchasing before any technical questions or specifications to streamline processes.
Identify most suitable products / solutions based on ongoing customer and market assessment and support development of the aforesaid in alignment with GSLM & engineering
Work with site account managers to craft site account plan, including mapping U&R offerings and customer installed base (FLS and competitors as applicable), and drive OI and Business development management.
Support the proposal & engineering team the provision of accurate and timely quotations
Manage 1ˢᵗ tier of price band discounting, with a view of being able to achieve regional budget for the service line.
Support with Sales the planning and aging of inventory and recommend to GSLM when a part should be considered scrap.
Custodians of lessons learned Promote training, guidance and sales materials to customers, Sales and field service.
Work with GSLM and regional procurement to facilitate local sourcing as applicable.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to continually improve service offerings and improve customer net promoter score.
Support product development through ideation and launching new service- and technical products into the region.
What you bring
A relevant tertiary level qualification, ideally an engineering degree, in metallurgical, chemical, mechanical engineering.
A qualification in business administration or commerce would be an advantage
At least 10 years’ experience within the mining industry.
At least 5 years’ experience in the application selection of Pyro Metallurgy Technologies.
At least 3 years’ experience in a business development role with demonstrable success in growing the business.
Experience in a sales role within the customer services function.
Site experience in the operation, optimization and maintenance
Existing strong network of key stakeholders within the mineral processing industry.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to work with customers, contractors and other personnel on a daily basis
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good organization, multitasking and time management skills that delivers effective planning and housekeeping standards.
