    SACAP Foundation: Senior Programme Manager And Clinical Supervisor

    The Counselling Hub in Woodstock is on a mission to make mental health services accessible to all. In South Africa, only one in four individuals with mental health issues receives care, leaving many without the support they need. As a low-cost, donation-based service, the Counselling Hub provides an affordable option for adults seeking mental health care to address daily challenges.

    We are seeking a Senior Programme Manager and Clinical Supervisor to oversee the smooth operation of our Counselling service. The main focus will be on the individual Counselling Programme, conducted both in Woodstock, Cape Town, and remotely. This service relies on volunteers, and maintaining its quality is paramount. As we are a small team, the Senior Program Manager also contributes to our overall planning and strategy and other programmes, particularly External Training, Advocacy and Research.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the quality, monitoring, and expansion of the Counselling Programme
    • Support and upskill volunteers to maintain service quality
    • Collaborate across programmes due to our small team size
    • Maintain a collegial and open-hearted working environment

    Qualifications:

    • Registered mental health professional in psychotherapy, psychology, or social work with a minimum of 3 years of client work and some supervisory experience
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Familiarity with the non-profit sector and its monitoring and evaluation processes
    • Strong English report writing and oral presentation skills
    • Fluency in English; knowledge of other South African languages is a plus
    • Comfortable with technology and remote work
    • Must reside in Cape Town (this is not a remote position)
