    Safety Manager

    About the job
    The Chief Safety Officer is responsible for the management of the safety and risk department at a mine and the optimisation of the safety and risk control through design, implementation, evaluation, coordination and management of the safety and risk control systems, as well as for ensuring legal compliance at the unit.

    Requirements:

    • Experience on Underground Mine
    • Degree in Safety Management
    • Mine Overseer Certificate
    • Blasting Certificate
    • Quality Assurance
    • Project Management
    • COMSOC I & II
    • SAMTRAC
    • AFRAD (Accredited Facilitators Risk Assessment Diploma) - Advantageous
    • Auditors Courses for Safety and Risk Control Management – Advantageous
    • Safety and Risk Control (NADSAM) – Advantageous
