Safety Officer (Centurion) at AFGRI Equipment

Description

• Performing functional health and safety of all Grain facilities to ensure compliance to occupational health and safety legislation by doing internal inspection and accompanying external Inspectors and report accordingly

Requirements

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING    

• Grade 12 (Essential)
• SAMTRAC Qualification
• Incident Investigation Level 3
• Fumigation Certificate
• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Risk Management will be advantageous
• Drivers’ license

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE            

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a safety and risk management environment

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES          

• Sound agricultural knowledge
• Strong understanding of SHERQ systems
• Knowledge of the OHS Act, particularly within the handling and storage industry
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 70%)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong planning, organising, and prioritisation abilities
• Good Communication and Interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize
