    Sales Agronomist- Crop Protection

    • A leading, technology-driven South African company with over 30 years of experience in developing and supplying niche environmentally compatible herbicide solutions for agriculture, forestry, and conservation is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Field Agronomist to implement field trials and contribute to sales growth in KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape, and parts of the Free State. The role is field-based and combines technical support, trial implementation, and commercial exposure under senior guidance.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a Diploma, B. Tech., B. Sc., Hons or M. Sc. in Agriculture, Botany, Forestry or a related field
    • Experience with herbicides in agricultural crop protection would be preferred
    • Experience with field trials and research projects would be advantageous
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills would be advantageous
    • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel extensively

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Driving regional sales and achieving set targets.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, distributors, and agents.
    • Executing regional marketing and sales strategies.
    • Coordinating product availability and forecasting.
    • Providing in-field technical support and stewardship for customers.
    • Assisting with or managing field efficacy trials, including setup, spraying, and monitoring.
    • Conducting competitor analysis and market reporting.
    • Representing the company at industry events, field days, and client visits.
    • Collaborating with internal technical, logistics, and R&D teams.
