Our client is a global renewable energy company focused on delivering solar and battery storage solutions across international markets. They are seeking a Sales Associate to support commercial operations and account management activities within the South African market.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and internal departments to manage existing accounts, support sales processes, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Main Responsibilities
Manage existing accounts and orders as directed by the Regional Sales Manager
Answer leads and negotiate prices, volume, contract terms, and conditions
Coordinate with internal departments to resolve commercial, technical, and financial customer objections
Manage existing orders and follow up on payments
Represent the company brand to both existing and prospective accounts
Ensure compliance with internal processes, company policies, and external regulations
Requirements
Minimum undergraduate degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related field
1+ years of solar industry experience in a sales role
Demonstrated sales experience within the SSA region or equivalent international markets
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with CRM tools such as SAP and Dynamics advantageous
Experience using AI tools or chatbots highly advantageous
Strong teamwork, communication, and intercultural skills
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Effective planning, organisation, and accountability
