Based in Johannesburg, the Sales Lead will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic business opportunities that drive growth, profitability, and market share with a focus on Peritoneal Dialysis and Acute Therapies.
This includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, medical and governmental affairs, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations.
Distributor management (experience in SSA markets).
Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Create and present business cases to senior management for review and approval.
Negotiate and finalize business deals and agreements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, medical and governmental affairs, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development strategies.
Monitor and report on the performance of business development initiatives, including ROI and other key performance indicators.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Experience with Renal Dialysis ideally Peritoneal Dialysis, and or Nephrology.
Experience with Sub Saharan Africa and SADC regions particularly Distributor Management.
Proven track record of success in identifying and executing business opportunities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscape.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective business development strategies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business development software.
Good spoken and written English (Portuguese and French bonus).
Ability to travel within the SADC/ Sub-Sahara region
