An international leader in furniture manufacturing, with operations in over 50 countries, is seeking a Sales Manager based in Cape Town or Johannesburg. The role is focused on driving sales and expanding regional market presence. This opportunity offers the chance to leverage your expertise in the local furniture market to deliver growth, strengthen client relationships, and play a key role in supporting the company’s continued expansion across South Africa.
Responsibilities:
Drive new business development and manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to post-sales support.
Acquire new clients and promote the full range of products to maximise business opportunities.
Negotiate trade terms and margins that balance client needs with business profitability.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary contact for key accounts.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through regular communication and proactive issue resolution.
Collaborate with operations, technical, and procurement teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the furniture sector.
Contribute to team success by sharing insights, supporting colleagues, and driving collective growth.
Requirements:
Minimum five year's experience in the local furniture market, including wholesale sales.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Strong business acumen to identify growth opportunities and maintain profitability.
Experienced in managing complex sales cycles and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Collaborative approach to build strong relationships internally and externally.
