    Sales Promotor

    The Role

    Our positions of Sales Promoter in Johannesburg and Cape Town , South Africa:

    • We are looking for 2 colleagues for Sales Promoter position; located in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
    • Sales Promoter is responsible for promoting product range (all brands) by calling on chefs, bakers, and confectioners-both current customers and prospects-familiarizing them with products available from Barry Callebaut for their applications. Providing technical assistance to customers and prospects when needed, while continuing to strengthen the relationship with the customer and provide a value added service. Relationship building with chefs, bakers, confectioners, and others in the culinary community.

    Description Of Tasks

    • Pursuing sales leads; visit existing and new customers, such as confectioners, pastry shops, bakeries, restaurants and hotels while respecting a time management schedule.
    • Assessing customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
    • Responding to customer enquiries; negotiating prices within limits of authority; and concluding sales orders to meet revenue targets. ( Secondary sale)
    • Identifying, researching, and contacting prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
    • Managing distributors in how they supply, sell and promote Barry Callebaut portfolio and brands. Coordinating Trade Marketing and Technical activities between BC and specific customers.
    • Developing Chef to Chef relationships.
    • Establishing annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met.
    • Other Group related office work, including admin tasks (Salesforce platform, weekly reporting, price list management etc.).

    Your Profile

    • Bachelor /Master Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Sales & Marketing
    • 3-4 years of relevant working experience in Sales, preferably in a multinational FMCG company
    • Commercial skills (presenting, discussing, negotiating)
    • Knowledge of the chocolate / gourmet industry is a plus
    • Being open to and adapting quickly to new sales and marketing approaches
    • Fluent English
