    Sales Segment Marketing Executive

    • Formulate and implement a strategic plan that accounts for current and future market forces and movements.
      - This must include operational milestones that drive the company to achieve its strategic objectives.
    • Provide thought leadership and embed a culture of innovation through leveraging intellectual property and facilitate strategic innovation within the sales environment.
    • Define the targets per segment and the GTM strategies and required capabilities.
      - Support the execution of the segment commercial plans through account-based marketing.
    • Define and launch up/cross selling and lead generation campaigns (client-centric marketing) to support the yearly business targets (direct and with OEMs).
    • Responsible for the management and effectiveness of all processes, including the identification and mitigation of strategic risk.
    • Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasts within strategic guidelines, directing and coordinating activities to achieve revenue achievement and cost containment.
    • Direct the marketing of sales segments and act as a liaison between the organization and customers to maximize the profit base due to the segments.
    • Develop a national and regional marketing strategy for sales segments that will achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratios and share of market performance in relation to predefined standards, as well as in relation to general and specific trends within the industry and the economy.
    • Gain a deepened understanding of segments through research, analysis and monitoring financial, technological and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalised on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
    • Develop and implement marketing plans; continually track market trends and provide feedback to the various segments.
    • Oversee the creation and deployment of campaigns targeting specific sales segments, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s brand and communication guidelines.
    • Understand the global, national and regional marketing strategies of all solution partners, vendors and competitors.
    • Form and maintain relationships at an Executive level with key sales segment marketing stakeholders.
    • Establish and enhance relationships with strategic customers and partners, with the aim of creating market dominance.
    • Ensure a customer and sales orientated mind-set is implemented.
    • Drive customer experience improvement.
    • Establish and foster a culture of performance excellence, employee engagement and transformation.

    The qualifications you will need:

    • Relevant graduate degree (NQF 7) (IT/Marketing/Commerce) and an MBA will be an advantage.
    • 10 - 12 years’ experience, of which at least 5 years must be at an Executive level.
    • The experience must include relevant exposure to the ICT sector.
    • Proven business acumen with experience in C-suite stakeholder engagement.
    • Required to travel locally and/or internationally.
    • Ability to develop strategies, direct people, explore possibilities, interact with people, make decisions, pursue goals, produce output and uphold standards.
    • Knowledge in financial management, risk management, strategic planning, business development and leadership.
