We are hiring a Sandblaster on a Contractor basis in JHB - Eastern Suburbs - Alberton area. Are you experienced in operating sandblasting equipment and ensuring surfaces are properly prepared for painting or coating? Apply now!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently.
Clean and prepare surfaces by removing rust, old paint, dirt, grease, and other materials.
Ensure surfaces are properly prepared for painting, coating, or sealing.
Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure required standards are met.
Mix and load abrasive materials into blasting equipment.
Maintain blasting equipment and report defects or maintenance needs.
Follow site safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Ensure proper containment and disposal of blasting materials and debris.
Work with painters, welders, and supervisors to meet project timelines.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Must have a valid certificate for sand blaster
2 -3 years previous experience in sandblasting or surface preparation in construction or industrial environment
