SAP ABAP Developer at Sasol

Purpose of Job

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of SAP Materials Management (MM) solutions while leveraging expertise in SD, ARIBA, and other modules. Collaborate with product teams to design and support integrated SAP/ERP solutions, ensuring scalability and agility to meet current and future business demands. Enhance operational efficiency through proactive IT change management, infrastructure optimization, and DevOps practices.

Key Accountabilities

• Configure and maintain SAP MM processes, including procurement, inventory management, invoice verification, and vendor management, ensuring alignment with SAP Best Practices.
• Integrate ARIBA with SAP MM for streamlined procurement processes and efficient supplier collaboration using SAP Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions bridging MM, SD, and other modules.
• Drive IT change management by implementing system patches, updates, and enhancements.
• Enable seamless interaction between ARIBA, MM, and core ERP modules using CIG, ensuring compliance with governance and operational standards.
• Participate in solution lifecycle phases (Discover, Mobilise, Plan, Engineer, Deploy, and Transition) for ARIBA-CIG-related initiatives.
• Ensure SOX compliance by implementing and maintaining key controls across MM and ARIBA platforms.
• Develop roadmaps for MM and ARIBA solutions, addressing optimization, scalability, and integration needs.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to maintain SLAs, KPIs, and compliance standards for ARIBA and MM ecosystems.

Formal Education

• University Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or related field.

Min Experience

• 6+ years in SAP MM with hands-on experience in ARIBA and experience with cross-functional modules like SD, MM, and FI.

Certification

• SAP MM Certification, SAP ARIBA Certification, ITIL 4 Foundation, and COBIT 5
