Scientist/Technologist/Technician: Clinpath (Grahamstown) at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers / instruments in a clinical laboratory.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Health Sciences
• Medical Laboratory Science,
• HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field

Required Experience:

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment,
• Knowledge: Ampath QC procedures,
• Knowledge: Instrumentation and Methodologies,
• Knowledge: Meditech system,
• Knowledge: MS Windows,
• Knowledge: relevant pathology test procedures,
• Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Switchboard functions in order to correctly refer client requests,
• Assist with training client service employees to ensure competence,
• Implement safety and emergency procedures to ensure safe/ continues working conditions.,
• Maintain good client relations to promote the professional image of Ampath.,
• Maintain provider and route dictionaries., Perform departmental administrative tasks.
