We are looking for a dynamic Accounting Professional who is passionate about providing this skill at a highly experienced level to the business. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record reporting insights to senior management to support the decision-making process and comes from a manufacturing environment or similar. Someone who gets excited about combining a love for data, automation, and efficiency with best accounting practices.
This role will initially be based in our Cape Town offices.
This role presents an opportunity to work for a global organization with international career prospects to work in the United States.
The ideal Candidate has the following Experience & Qualifications:
- Honours/Post Graduate Degree in Accounting or similar essential
- CA(SA) or CIMA Preferred
- 5 – 7 years business experience in accounting and reporting
- 3 – 4 years supervisory experience is preferred
- Experience with Manufacturing is preferred.

Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Responsible for the daily execution of financial and accounting functions (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash)
- Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert management, as necessary.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for specific business units.
- Assist with external audit activity with banks and tax auditors including planning, preparation, data gathering.
- Proactively interact with various departments throughout the organization to provide information necessary to assist in their decision-making processes, improve profitability and maintain proper accounting procedures.
- Perform additional duties and assist with other projects upon request from management.
As a trusted business advisor to the senior management team, undertake responsibilities such as the following:
- Work with business unit managers to develop data measurement and reporting system to report and project results against established models.
- Provide insight on business opportunities and risks and financial considerations.
- Provide financial insight into business performance while helping inform and support decision-making processes interfacing with business leaders including Presidents, CFO's, COO's, CTO’s, and Vice President
- Communicate financial performance to respective business owners and assist the business with ad-hoc requests and special projects.
- Evaluate data, prepare forecasts, and analyzes trends in sales, operations, manufacturing, information systems, general business conditions and other areas.
- Support/assist in preparation of quarterly forecast and annual budget cycle through the preparation of reporting and analysis.
