Senior Accountant (JB3682) - Brakpan at Kontak Recruitment

Minimum Requirements:

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5 or more years’ experience within a Senior Accounting role.
• Experience in financial operations within mining/ engineering industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency in job costing, finance budgets, financial administration, and compliance.
• Previous Pastel Payroll and Sage Pastel experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administer monthly payroll and required submissions, including statutory submissions to SARS, Provident Fund, and Union membership fees.
• Handle monthly accounting and reporting tasks, such as cashbook processing, debtors processing, and supplier invoice management.
• Process monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with salary processing.
• Compile year-end information for auditors and coordinate tax clearance requests.
• Manage full payment functions.
• Balance Pastel accounts to project ledger monthly.
• Generate and present monthly financial and management reports.
• Ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
