Senior Accountant at Profile Personnel

Job Description

• A leading organisation in the healthcare sector is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise and recent stock and fixed asset experience to play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial accounting.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Work closely with operational managers to provide financial support and guidance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.

Minimum Requirements

• Financial Accounting Degree.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accountant or Senior Accountant role.
• Proficiency in Sage Evolution and/or Sage Intacct.
• Recent stock and fixed asset accounting experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of South African accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
