Senior Accountant at VEA Group

Role and Responsibilities:

• Compile Weekly reports for income and expenditure from the bank statement. 
• Weekly cashflow projections.
• Process payment release for all companies.
• Provide accurate info for monthly board packs.
• Invoicing and Recons for all entities (Debtors and Creditors).
• Ensure timelessness, accuracy and correctness of the financial reporting.
• Responsible for monthly payments and accruals process.
• Ensure strong guidance and assistance when needed to the Financial Manager as well as the entire business team.
• Oversee the finance and management preparation and reporting to at least the trial balance stage.
• Support the team in the preparation and submission of legislative, statutory and tax reports.
• Prepare weekly financial reporting of the Profit and loss of the Company.
• Ensure strong suppliers’ relationships are maintained.
• Re-conciliation of supplier accounts.
• Payments (suppliers and staff).
• Align sales staff targets with the overall business targets.
• Ensure calculation of sales staff commission captured and paid accordingly.
• Approve wages and salaries.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Receipt Bank management.
• Statutory Compliance.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Accounting Graduate/Diploma
• +- 7years relevant experience ideally within the financial services space
• Analytical individual, with strong attention to detail
• Computer literacy is a requirement, having worked on MS Office Suite and Excel.
