RPO Recruitment's client, a reputable building contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Building Foreman to join their team on building projects in Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities
Manage subcontractors and labour teams to ensure productivity and quality workmanship
Ensure work is completed according to programme and project specifications
Monitor health and safety compliance on site
Conduct site inspections and maintain quality standards
Liaise with Site Agents, Project Managers, consultants, and suppliers
Assist with planning, scheduling, and resolving on-site challenges
Requirements:
National Diploma in Building or similar qualifications
Extensive experience working as a Senior Foreman on building projects
Proven experience on multi-storey residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments
Strong ability to manage site labour, subcontractors, and daily construction activities
Solid understanding of building methods, finishes, quality control, and site safety
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and programmes
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Must be based in the Western Cape with knowledge of local contractors and suppliers
