    Senior Business Developer

    Overview:

    • The company is a leading provider of fully financed solar energy solutions for commercial and industrial clients in South Africa. Through innovative models such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), rent-to-own, and rooftop leasing, they enable businesses to access clean, cost-effective energy with no upfront capital investment.
    • We are seeking a commercially driven Business Developer to expand our footprint in Gauteng by originating and closing long-term energy solutions deals with C&I clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Business Development & Origination

    • Identify, engage, and secure new commercial and industrial clients across sectors such as retail, hospitality, manufacturing, and property
    • Develop a pipeline of opportunities for solar PV solutions under PPA / financed models
    • Drive full sales cycle from lead generation through to deal structuring and contract close

    Consultative Solution Selling

    • Engage with C-suite, financial decision-makers, and property stakeholders to position value proposition
    • Structure and present no-capex energy solutions, articulating cost savings, ROI, and risk mitigation
    • Work closely with technical teams to align system design, pricing, and commercial terms

    Deal Structuring & Commercial Negotiation

    • Lead negotiations on long-term energy contracts (typically 5–20 years)
    • Support the development of bankable project opportunities through accurate data gathering and client alignment
    • Navigate complex stakeholder environments to secure internal approvals on client side

    Market Development

    • Build strategic relationships within the property, facilities management, and corporate sectors
    • Provide insights into market trends, tariffs, and competitor positioning
    • Represent company in industry engagements and networking forums

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 3–6+ years’ experience in B2B business development or solution sales
    • Proven track record in closing complex, high-value commercial deals
    • Strong commercial acumen with ability to engage at senior decision-maker level
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
    • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Gauteng
