Translate business needs to technical specifications
Design, build and deploy BI solutions
Maintain and support data analytics platforms
Develop existing applications and contribute to the development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
Design and perform website/applications software tests
Monitor, identify and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software
Maintain road map to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements
implement and provide input on the design of required security measures such as firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems
Maintain an understanding of current technology, database management, and/or programming practices through ongoing education, conference attendance and industry press.
Requirements:
Relevant University degree
3 - 6 years' experience as a BI developer
1 year experience as a supervisor or manager of more junior colleagues
Background in data warehouse design and data mining
In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework, and Analytical tools Qlikview or Qliksense
Familiar with Power BI
Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Server (SSAS)
Experience in a distribution environment would be an advantage
