Grade 12 with a tertiary qualification in bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in citrus farming or similar agricultural management roles.
Strong knowledge of citrus production practices, pest management, and soil health.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficient in farm management software and data analysis tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in budget management, cost control, and financial management.
Advanced computer literacy.
Drivers’ License (PDP advantageous)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all aspects of citrus farm operations, including the administration and planning required for planting, cultivation, harvesting, and pest management.
Develop and implement effective farming strategies to enhance the yield and quality of citrus crops.
Monitor and maintain soil health, irrigation systems, and farm equipment.
Lead and supervise farm staff, providing training and hands-on guidance to ensure efficient operations.
Analyse crop performance data and implement improvements based on findings.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., packhouse, HR, and finance) to align farming practices with business goals.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, SIZA, and GLOBALG.A.P.
Setup and management of OPEX budgets, CAPEX, and monitoring expenditures against budget.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in citrus farming.
