Senior Cloud Engineer - (Future Opportunities Pipeline) at Telesure Group Services

The Senior Cloud engineer, will be involved in configuring, maintaining and administrating Microsoft Azure and 0365. The Senior Cloud engineer is expected to drive the company wide adoption of the Microsoft cloud stack, this will be achieved through customisation to suit business needs, education and upkeep of the systems involved. The Senior cloud engineer will be involved with determining strategy and will also aid in the lifecycle management of all related technologies from incubation to end of life planning. The role is also responsible for ensuring security and configuration compliance and will work with other members of the IT System Administration Team. Vendor management and internal client expectation management is also core to the role. As part of the responsibilities, the role will be tasked to respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT system assistance, data, and information. The role collaborates with senior personnel in performing risk assessments to determine impact on customer business processes and systems downtime and proposes changes as needed. The Senior cloud engineer implements system changes across large, complex and diverse collaborative environments by using standardized defined methods and procedures; provides efficient and prompt handling of all changes to improve day-to-day operations.

Specification

• Plan and execute system fixes, updates, and enhancements.
• Manage O365 user accounts, privileges, and system access.
• Manage Azure tenant and all sub systems and services.
• Optimise and maintain performance, housekeeping, availability, serviceability, and recovery.
• Perform troubleshooting, analysis of alerts, and repairs.
• Ensure system availability, functionality, integrity and efficiency, and maintain system configuration and documentation.
• Implement security procedures, as directed by security team.

• Ownership and execution of incident management and system maintenance.
• Ability to solve problems through cloud technologies.
• Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Experience

And Skills Required

• More than 10 years of experience in a technical role with the last 3-4 years focused on Microsoft cloud solutions
• 4 Years’ experience having deployed projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support.

Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams, ensuring successful implementation of customer projects.

Experience

• with deploying and training users on Azure related services, O365, Microsoft Teams, InTune and Sharepoint
• Technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, virtualisation, architecture designs, database migrations, and technology management.
• Microsoft IIS Skills – Beneficial

Experience

• in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions/projects.

Scripting Experience With PowerShell – Required

• Prior customer service or support experience – Required
• Web development experience (HTML, CSS) – Beneficial
• Knowledge of automation concepts.
• Determine critical procedures within the existing environment and automate deployment and upgrades.
• Ability to script and automate processes that require bulk distribution, change, or input.
• Able to provide effective work support off-hours as required, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 on call responsibilities on a rotational basis.

Requirements

• Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)
• Certifications in Cloud and MS domain-specific technologies
• Microsoft certifications, including MCSA-O365 and MS900/MD101/MS101/MS500
• Microsoft Azure certifications in AZ103/AZ300/AZ500
• Relevant degree in IT advantageous
