Senior Credit Manager at Robert Walters

A leading bank, based in Johannesburg, is currently seeking a Senior Credit Manager. You will focus on developing mutually beneficial relationships in order to improve new business opportunities, whilst coaching and supporting a team making sound judgemental credit decisions.

Job responsibilities shall include but not be limited to for the Senior Credit Manager:

• 2IC to Head of Credit
• Making credit decisions with a mandate of up to R60m (Deals go up to R1 Billion)
• Sitting on the Credit Committee
• Leading a team of ten people
• Designing and implementing customer service solutions
• Contributing to cost efficiencies
• Making recommendations to mitigate risk
• Managing an optimal risk profile for the credit portfolio
• Ensuring good governance, compliance and risk management within the portfolio

Key Qualifications, Experience and Competencies required for the Senior Credit Manager:

• CA (SA) or BCom Honours
• Minimum 5 years' experience in judgemental credit
• Strong credit background
• ABF experience (advantageous)
• Commercially minded
• 3 years' managing a credit team (management experience) - NB
• Must be a people leader - NB
