PURPOSE
The Senior Data Analyst drives organizational success by transforming complex data into actionable insights that guide strategic decisions, optimize operations, and support business growth. This role ensures informed decision-making by identifying trends, mitigating risks, and enabling cross-functional collaboration, helping the company maintain a competitive edge and achieve its objectives efficiently.
KEY PERFOMANCE OUTPUTS
Maintains the company’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
Directs technological research by studying group company goals, strategies, practices and user projects
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
Compile and manage the IT approved budget within the Company
Ensure operational alignment with business strategy
Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action
Provide input and feedback from performance reviews and assist in improving staff's performance
Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures by evaluating
Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
Ensure fair allocation of workload
Monitor operational activities of staff
Provide input and feedback from performance reviews and assist in improving staff's performance

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline qualification or equivalent experience
Post Graduate qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline advantageous
Technical certifications in key infrastructure services and applications
5 years working in a similar role
5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a senior or lead analyst role
Extensive experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
SYSPRO, Business Objects and TransLution Development experience.
Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI).
Hands-on experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python) for data modeling and statistical analysis.
Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.
Familiarity with big data technologies
Proven experience in data-driven decision-making and providing actionable insights.
Skilled in identifying trends, patterns, and correlations in large datasets.
Experience in conducting predictive analysis and forecasting.
Proven experience in data-driven decision-making and providing actionable insights.
