Purpose of the role:

• Actively enable the Digital Risk Advisory Services objectives to incorporate data analytics processes in our RAS services. The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for execution of data analytics procedures in the integrated internal audit approach, and for execution of standalone analytics projects. The incumbent will work closely with the entire RAS team to:
• Identify risks and design analytics to address these and integrate analytics and modelling offerings more deeply into the internal audit approach.
• Execution of data analytics and related projects/engagements.
• Management of client and audit relationships.
• Provide ongoing support to junior team members.
• Execution of complex and non-complex engagements.
• Provide technical expertise and advice on data-related issues and requirements.
• Take accountability for deliverables and feedback to managers and stakeholders.
• Developing and contributing to analytics and modelling business development and go-to-market opportunities and activities.

Qualifying Attributes:

Required:

• Degree in Commerce, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Management, Statistics or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with data analytics software (ACL, Idea, SQL or similar).

Preferred:

• Qualifications Certifications or Advanced degrees in Computer Science, Data Analytics, and technology specific certifications.
• 4+ years’ experience in providing analytics services in an audit environment.
