Requirements Summary
Leading-edge South African based Technology and Software company offers an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Developer to join the team.
Candidates 5 plus years’ experience in a software development environment and BEng Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or BCom Informatics (honors), BSc Computer Science, BSc IT, degrees will be considered. Microsoft Certifications would be a plus.
Candidates with a diploma AND Microsoft Certifications, as well as 6 years plus experience working in a software development environment will also be considered
About the Role
You will be required to maintain, support, design, develop, test, implement, and integrate systems to scale as required using Microsoft C# technology stack. You will also be required to research and implement new technologies and best practices. You need to be a strong team player, and able to take the initiative and function in stressful situations.
Must be willing to learn and be open to guidance and constructive feedback from other senior team members and architects. Taking ownership of development endeavors and leading a team will also be required. This role will likely require an initial long term (2 years) engagement on a long running, complex system.
Experience Required
The candidate will have exposure in the following:
- Experience working in Financial, Insurance, Medical, Telecoms and Supply chain industries
- Working with high volume transactional databases
- Experience in Enterprise system development
- Full stack development or similar/relevant exposure using: C# (.Net Framework or Core), ASP.NET / MVC, HTML 5, CSS 3, Java Script / jQuery, SQL, TFS/Azure DevOps, Server-Side technologies e.g. Node.JS, Systems Integration, Web services (REST/Soap)
- Experience in managing a codebase (branching, merging etc.)
- Experience working in an Agile/Waterfall environment
- Performing Code reviews
- Experience in all phases of SDLC process (advantageous)
- Experience in Automation testing (advantageous)
- Mobile development technologies (advantageous)
- Integration technologies (advantageous)
Qualifications Required
Degrees (one or more off):
- BSc. Computer Science
- BEng. Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering
- B. Com Informatics with honours in computer science or informatics
- Microsoft Certifications a plus
Diplomas:
- Relevant Diplomas
- At least 6-year experience as a developer
- Microsoft Certifications MANDATORY
