Senior Engineer, Infrastructure at Exxaro Resources

Position Overview:

• Join our dynamic team as a Senior Engineer, Infrastructure, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our critical infrastructure that supports current operations and future mine developments. You will be responsible for managing and updating our ERP database, which includes essential infrastructure design criteria, capacities, and integration points. Your expertise will drive the successful implementation of infrastructure improvement initiatives and projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Minimum Requirements    
QUALIFICATIONS:

• BEng Civil Engineering (Essential/Minimum or)
• BSc Civil Engineering (Essential/Minimum or)
• BEng Mechanical Engineering (Essential/Minimum or)
• BSc Mechanical Engineering (Essential/Minimum or)
• BEng Electrical Engineering (Essential/Minimum or)
• BSc Electrical Engineering (Essential/Minimum or)
• B Tech Civil Engineering (Essential/Minimum or)
• B Tech Mechanical Engineering (Essential/Minimum or)
• B Tech Electrical Engineering (Essential/Minimum)
• Management Development Programme (Recommended/Desirable)

EXPERIENCE:

• 6-8 years Operational and maintenance experience with a minimum of 3 years project management responsibilities. Good technical experience with a comprehensive understanding of business opportunity development. (Essential/Minimum) Operational

REQUIREMENTS:

• Engineering Council of SA (PrEng) (Essential/Minimum or)

Duties & Responsibilities

Ability to:

• Responsible to maintain the integrity of all infrastructure to support operations and future mine developments.
• Maintain and updated database (ERP) of infrastructure design criteria, capacities and integration points.
• To ensure and co-ordinate the implementation of the required initiatives related to infrastructure improvement initiative and projects.
• To ensure that the required infrastructure is optimised and available in time and within budget.

• Review designs and supply inputs to project teams.
• Ensure compliance to Mine Health and Safety Act Regulations, Group Engineering and Business Unit standards
