Minimum Requirements
BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering (Essential/Minimum)
6-8 years of relevant experience in maintenance, hazard identification, risk assessment, procurement, project engineering, and management in the heavy industry (Essential/Minimum)
Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) (Essential/Minimum)
Completion of a Management Development Programme (Recommended/Desirable)
Possession of a Government Certificate of Competence in Engineering (Recommended/Desirable)
Strong proficiency in technical design, erection, installation, and project management
Expertise in budget management and cost efficiency within engineering projects
Capability to oversee and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards and legislation
Proficiency in managing professional networks and participating in relevant engineering forums and communities
