Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):

• BSc Eng or B Eng in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Civil / Chemical / Metallurgical / Industrial Engineering
• ECSA Registration Pr Eng

Related Minimum Experience:

• 4 years in the technical operations of power generation or delivery (Transmission and Distribution) infrastructure. Demonstration of prior responsibility in this function.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides specialised planned and unplanned service to the operations
• Develops discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications
• Develops discipline specific strategy and direction setting for improving plant availability through effective O&M execution
• Provide input into and conduct research to improve O & M operations
• Represents Eskom in relevant technical forums
• Manages and conducts product, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations.
• Provides a technical consulting and investigation service for customers
• Provides professional technical leadership over senior engineers and engineers within their own discipline
