Senior Field Inspector at NOV

• To lead and delegate tasks to inspectors and assistants efficiently and cost effectively whilst determining that that the item conforms to code requirements .

Duties & Responsbilities

• Able to lead and delegate tasks to inspectors and assistants efficiently and cost effectively.
• Liase with Sales Department and customer when working on site.
• Visual inspection to code requirements.
• magnetic particle inspections as per code requirements.
• Radiographic inspections as per code requirements.
• Ultrasonic inspections as per code requirements.
• Wall thickness Testing as per code requirements.
• General oilfield inspections.
• General mining inspection.
• General offshore mining inspection.
• Dimensional inspection.
• NDT inspections (Strip, clean and re-assembly).
• Function test as per code requirements.
• Pressure test as per code requirements.
• Certify and re-certify equipment as per code requirements.
• Submit reports on all inspections and findings.
• Adopt mentorship role for Apprentices when required.

Qualifications

• N3 (essential).
• Non-destructive Testing MT, PT, UTTG (essential).
• Qualified Artisan (essential).

Experience

• Oilfield Inspection experience (minimum 8 years) (essential).
• Proven fault finding experience (minimum 8 years) (essential).
• Leadership experience (essential).

Skills, Training & Specialist Knowledge

• Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook) (essential).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (essential).
