Senior Finance Manger -Public Sector( Contract) at Accounting and Financial Advisory

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the public sector, ensuring compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and other relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with the PFMA
• Management of financial planning and budgeting processes
• Oversight of financial reporting and compliance activities
• Management of cash flow, investment, and asset management
• Liaison with internal and external auditors
• Development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
• Providing financial guidance and support to senior management and stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills:

• Chartered Accountant (South Africa) qualification/or BCom Honours Accounting with Articles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management within the public sector
• Strong knowledge of the PFMA and other relevant legislation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in financial management software
