THE OPPORTUNITY

Our broad portfolio of high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines reaches across multiple therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Assist in Plan/rolling forecast enabling timely and quality submission of all schedules
• Support in preparation of monthly EPD closing reports and schedules to area & division
• Assist in global or local driven margin improvement initiatives and its timely tracking/reporting to area & division
• Support in preparing and reporting capital expenditure budget and periodic rolling forecast
• Coordinating with Commercial teams in providing them with necessary support to understand their analytics
• Maintain expense tracking of budget owners, ensuring compliance and reporting variances
• Review cost centers transaction reports and report any unusual postings
• Closely coordinate with host finance and commercial functions for accruals and provisions to ensure timely and accurate recording
• Closely coordinate with host finance and concerned functions to track open capital requests (RCEs)
• Ensure compliance of financial policies and procedures in financial reporting and submissions
• Ensure that financial processes and disciplines are in place to sustain the region's goals as well as enhance the current processes.
• Lead the budgeting, planning, analysis, and reporting activities for Africa Region,
• Full ownership of the working capital.
• Supervise the monthly/quarterly financial close
• Meet all financial reporting requirements within agreed upon timelines. Provide timely, accurate and insightful analysis related thereto which provides senior management necessary information with which to address variances and develop corrective actions
• Audit readiness for all Internal and External Audit
• Actively participate in all acceleration plans, business deals, in-licensing / divestiture and other strategic alliance opportunities within Africa territories with all internal stakeholders
• Own the full P&L, B/S transactions and related monthly tracking of expenditures in the African Region
• Regular Balance sheet reviews ensure all reconciliation are properly documented
• Proactive participation in setting & follow-up on the necessary credit terms, facilities and distributor/wholesalers relationships across Africa Region.
• Meets sales and margin commitments for the Area
• Develops an annual Plan that is consistent with the Africa EPD goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BCom Accounting degree with 5+ years Senior Financial Analyst experience / CIMA or study towards CIMA will be an advantage.
