    Senior Insights Analyst

    Requirements

    Qualification

    • Suitable Tertiary Degree/Diploma or Relevant Certification in a Commerce or Marketing related field.
    • 10 + years of professional experience within FMCG, Consumer Goods, marketing, data management or related industry.
    • At least 3 years experience in a client-facing position, consulting or business development role engaging with senior members of client organisations.

    Skills

    EPOS Data Expertise:

    • Understanding of EPOS datasets, including sales trends, stock levels, and customer purchase behaviours.
    • Familiarity with retailer-specific EPOS tools like Nielsen, IRI, or retailer-proprietary systems is an advantage

    Data Analytics Tools:

    • Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).

    Data Integration and ETL Processes:

    • Understanding of how to transform EPOS data into meaningful analysis.
    • Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.

    Data Visualization:

    • Ability to create intuitive dashboards and visualisations to communicate insights effectively.
    • Knowledge of advanced charting techniques for storytelling with data.

    Responsibilities 

    Insights and Analytics

    • Utilize Pyramid dashboards to analyze EPOS retailer data, uncovering key sales trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities.
    • Deliver strategic recommendations that align with the client’s objectives, driving actionable outcomes and measurable business growth.
    • Conduct in-depth category and product-level analyses to identify underperforming areas and opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their goals and provide tailored insights that address specific challenges and opportunities.
    • Proactively monitor market trends and retail dynamics, ensuring clients remain competitive by acting on emerging opportunities.
    • Respond to ad hoc analytic briefs, providing timely, insightful analyses that support data-driven decision-making.
    • Prepare and deliver insights presentations, effectively communicating findings and recommendations to client stakeholders.
    • Engage with the Research Lead and other internal teams to ensure the accuracy and relevance of dashboards, aligning them with client needs.
    • Build strong relationships with clients through high-quality, proactive insights.
    • Work autonomously to anticipate client needs, regularly presenting insights that go beyond the immediate brief to add strategic value.

    Participates in Client Meetings and Engagements

    • Professionally address report-related queries and escalate issues when needed.
    • Train clients on Pyramid Analytics tool, reports, and interpreting insights derived from dashboards.
    • Proactively identify and communicate opportunities to expand service offerings to the Client Success Manager.

    Client Setup Tasks

    • Assist in briefing new projects and setup requirements to the projects team.
    • Ensure setup checklists are complete, addressing any missing information prior to project initiation.
    • Manage tasks related to product and customer master data, ensuring alignment with reporting requirements.
    • Engage with internal teams to ensure clean and accurate data feeds for setup.
    • Identify issues during the setup process and escalate for resolution as required.

    Monthly Data Management Tasks

    • Collaborate with the operations team to follow up on and complete data management tasks.
    • Monitor and escalate any data processing delays or issues, providing regular updates.

    Client Maintenance Tasks

    • Maintain up-to-date client trackers, ensuring accuracy by collaborating with the Client Success team.
    • Attending and actively contributing to internal Client Success meetings.
    • Provide feedback on client management progress and delivery challenges.
