Senior Internal Auditor - Malmesbury at KAL Group

Job Specification

• Reporting to the Executive Manager Internal Audit, the incumbent will be responsible for evaluating internal controls and regulatory compliance to minimise risk and loss to the organisation. This includes planning, performance and documentation of audits and the reporting and resolution of any weaknesses and shortcomings.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant degree + Certified Internal Auditor
• 6 years related experience
• Exposure in the retail environment as well as to computer-assisted audit software will further enhance the application

• Will manage audit relationships with line management in regard to audit performance, finalisation of reports and agreement on remedial action
• Provides advice/guidance to internal customers, in a timely and courteous manner
• Implements a client service philosophy, policies, standards, and systems to drive client satisfaction

Optimisation

• Implement the review and assessment of systems of control and procedures in the organisation in order to minimise risk and loss
• Conduct and moderate corporate and branch audits to audit standards as per audit plan
• Assessing internal controls and liaison with external auditors, risk management, and loss control
• Apply forensic analysis and research techniques to derive evidence that could be used in a disciplinary or legal proceeding

Leveraging Culture & Diversity

• Co-ordinates the personnel activities of department in order to meet standards required
• Responsible for managing, structuring, and focusing the work of the audit team and system evaluation

Digital Transformation

• Application of data analytic tools and methods to provide good auditing support to business. This includes compliance and/or optimisation of business processes and systems
