    Senior Investment Consultant

    We are seeking a professionally competent, incisive and confident investment consultant, who is proficient in and enjoys customer relationship management and communication.

    Responsibilities:

    • Your key responsibility: To provide sound investment advice to our institutional client base using the IAC advice model. The successful applicant will be engaging with various institutional investors and hence needs a good understanding of investment strategy in an institutional investor setting.
    • Attend client meetings where you will provide feedback on performance and communicate all investment related issues (economic conditions, emerging risks, strategy, implementation, industry trends and address all other relevant issues) unsupervised.
    • Interact with all other stakeholders regarding the client’s assets, including Administrators, Asset Managers, Actuaries and Auditors. Assist auditors, actuaries and asset managers with information/documentation required to operate and manage the client’s assets.
    • Address and manage all investment related issues & queries (orally and through written reports)
    • Research and investigate all investment related issues concerning the client’s portfolio (investment services, cost & fee structures, any other investment related issue requested by the Trustees from time to time)
    • Keep abreast of all current market and economic conditions and with industry related issues and new product developments
    • Take part in various research activities to enhance and develop new products and to innovate and recommend practical investment solutions
    • Conducting all tasks and responsibilities on a level that is professional and compliant with regulation and IAC best practice.

    Knowledge, skills and experience

    • A minimum of 3-years’ experience as an investment consultant to institutions.
    • A financial / actuarial degree / CFA or equivalent.
    • Strong numeracy skills.
    • The successful incumbent’s knowledge level should enable execution and management of responsibilities and accountabilities without supervision.
    • Passed the RE 5 exam (representatives).
    • Registered as a representative with the FSB for the appropriate financial services categories for the past 5 years.
    • A sound understanding of general economic fundamentals, investment products, asset managers, their processes and offerings.
    • Computer literate with well-developed MS Office skills.
    • utstanding communication and presentation skills.

    Disposition/Ability to:

    • Communicate, defend and promote all investment related issues.
    • Participate in economic and market related discussions.
    • Work independently across several tasks and in a team.
    • Work under pressure and to meet deadlines and business objectives.
    • Attention to detail and to perform tasks in a structured, organized and analytical manner.
    • Enjoy interacting with a variety of market participants including, asset managers, trustees and key clients.
    • Commitment to client service.

    Other special requirements:

    • Willingness to undertake business travel
    • Present at new business presentations and assisting in the new business process
    • Valid code 8 driver’s license and own reliable motor vehicle
