Senior Java Developer at Absa Group

We work in payments, specifically we are on a project that is looking to redo most of the payment platforms in the Rest of Africa (RoA). We have 10 banks in RoA that we have to service in terms of new features and rollouts. Timelines are quite optimistic, so that relates to quite a bit of pressure to get the solutions out in a timely fashion, hence the startup environment experience, as the pressures are very similar. In terms of tech, we work very much on the bleeding edge, using things like Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices using the Spring Boot framework, etc. With this also comes a very steep learning curve, so we would need people that are keen learners and want to improve their skillset.
