PhD/D Com/D Tech/ Doctoral degree in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or any related field. Should hold a relevant undergraduate degree in the fields mentioned above.
At least 5 years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or 7 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
At least five (5) publications in accredited, peer-reviewed journals
Experience in postgraduate supervision will serve as an added advantage

Duties
The incumbent will teach functional areas of the Database Concepts, Programming (with good knowledge of most of the following: Python, Java, .NET, C#, C++), Internet and Web Design Technology (good knowledge of Javascript, PHP, HTML, CSS), Database Systems Management (SQL & No SQL Databases, Oracle DB), Data Mining & Warehousing, Mobile and Wireless Information Systems, Business Intelligence Systems, Enterprise Database Systems, Research Methodology and other modules in the department for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
S/he will be responsible for curriculum development and compilation of teaching portfolios, supervision of research at the postgraduate level (Honors to PhD) and publishing in accredited journals.
Conducting community-based research and the execution of community and training projects as well as assisting in academic administration.
