Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum Requirements: Senior Lecturer

• PhD qualification within the Public Administration/Public Management/Development Management field.
• An underpinning Masters in Public Administration/Public Management/Development Management field.
• 4 years full-time lecturing experience in a Higher Education Environment
• Proven ability in lecturing Research Methodology at postgraduate level.
• Evidence of successful postgraduate supervision.
• Evidence of research output in DHET accredited journals.
• Knowledge and experience of the hybrid models of learning, teaching and assessment (face-to-face and online).

• 2 years full-time lecturing experience in a Higher Education Environment
• Proven ability in lecturing Research Methodology at postgraduate level.
• Knowledge and experience of the hybrid models of learning, teaching and assessment (face-to-face and online).

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Lecturing to full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as research supervision of master's and doctoral students.
• Contributing toward academic initiatives undertaken by the department.
• Assessment and academic administration.
• Curriculum development and quality assurance.
• Building links with the industry, other training providers and all  relevant stakeholders.
• Conducting research and supervising research projects in the Advanced Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma programmes.
