    Senior Manager: Sales Operations

    Key Accountabilities:

    New volume and equated new

    • Collaborate, champion and enable effective sales leadership and cross-functional working relationships across the MAH sales community.
    • Connect and leverage the skills of various functional teams across MAH to optimize our sales ambitions.

    Support sales operations strategy, projects and execution for Multichoice Africa

    • Act as trusted advisor to in-market and regional teams and drive key business cases and projects
    • Assist in design, implementation and oversee execution of projects, and programmes related to sales.
    • Development of roll-out plans, set up of the in-country operational processes, procedures, reports and tools to enable in-market teams to operate the solution independently. Run this solution at scale on all markets.

    Sales Tools & Technology

    • Assist with scoping of sales functional requirements in preparation of rollout and support of new and existing sales tools and technologies.
    • Assist in assessing demand for new capabilities and system features
    • Work with in-market teams to translate their reporting requirements into technical specifications / reports / data dashboards for the Corporate CII team to develop.
    • Work with data to derive insights to grow and optimize the sales business.
    • Support in-market and Corporate teams as a Subject Matter Expert, broadly competent with all Sales platforms and Systems.

    Field Sales and Service Platform Product owner

    • Collaborate and coordinate with UX designer/s, Solution analysts and development resources to manage the solution designs and flows and the translation of business requirements into Features and User stories.
    • Manage the product roadmap, demand and prioritization of Sales teams’ requirements, collaborating  closely with the delivery team/s to ensure day-to-day coordination of backlog priorities and allocation of work to the team
    • Drive and support cross collaboration with other dependent work streams, product owners and teams to ensure an efficient and fit-for-purpose end-to-end delivery of the solution.
    • Plan and sequency work according to Agile project implementation principles
    • Attend and support all Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, Sprint review and Sprint Planning, Increment planning, Team retrospects etc
    • Track and oversee the investigation of bugs and issues. Ensure root cause analysis is done and corrective action taken to prevent recurring of issues
    • Drive and support cross collaboration with other dependent work streams and teams to ensure end-to-end delivery of the solution.
    • Support MAH demand management process where FSS is affected and collaborate with in-country teams to ensure requirements are well articulated and thought through to reduce wastage of development resources.

    Channel Management:

    • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate country needs on an ongoing basis;
    • Ensure consistent and accurate capturing of information through the use of technology tools and produce channel reporting;
    • Support analytics based reporting and ensure that the tools support the tracking of the metrics.
    • Develop, communicate and measure Key Performance Areas for sales teams

    Strategy Communication and Execution

    • Ensure that the MAH Sales strategy is effectively communicated and understood by all internal stakeholders, aligning them towards a common goal that supports the overall success of the organization.
    • Ensure all deliverables are aligned and support the MultiChoice group, MultiChoice Africa and Africa Sales strategy
    • Guide and assist with the formulation of business cases to support the motivation for budget allocation to drive sales deliverable

    Stakeholder management

    • Build a good understanding of the MultiChoice Africa business, the business operations in the African countries and the product offerings
    • Build relationships with stakeholders in the African countries where MultiChoice Africa is operational through communication and engagement on initiatives that impact them.
    • Engage and build collaborative relationships with the key business stakeholders, such as (but not limited to) EBS, CII, APMO, Showmax to ensure delivery of solutions for the MAH Sales community.
    • Manage business stakeholders’ expectations and plan effectively to meet those expectations.

    Reporting

    • Where required, compile weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for all levels of the business such as countries (ops reviews), internal stakeholders and Exco.
    • Support and guide FSS reporting requirements with CII and internal stakeholders, ensuring that reporting exists to track key KPI’s metrics.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
    • Post graduate qualification will be an advantage
    • Project Management certification will be an advantage
    • SAFe Agile accreditation will be an advantage

    Experience:

    • 5-7 years’ experience within an operations environment
    • Operational experience in at least 3 African Countries
    • Previous experience in FMCG, Telco, Technology and Banking sectors is preferred.
    • Good practical understanding Software Development Lifecycle Management (SDLC) and SAFe Agile practises will be an advantage.
    • Sales and Distribution knowledge
    • Must have evidence of managing large projects from start to finish and delivering outcomes to stakeholder expectations
    • Experience interacting with B.I Platforms such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau or similar is highly beneficial.
    • Experience working with data and data collection platforms is beneficial.
