Senior Manager: Supply Chain Management at Liquid Telecom South Africa

Job Purpose:

• To develop the Supply Chain strategy to ensure that the strategy is aligned to the business goals. To have overall accountability of the procurement activities within the business and to operationalise the strategy through the leadership of the Procurement & Logistics functions within the business through the external, internal operating and engagement models. The operationalisation through the development of short and medium term objectives, policies, budgets and operating plans for the Supply Chain area (Procurement, Logistics & multi Warehousing locations on both an in-sourced and out-sourced model managing the respective supplier service level agreements (SLAs).
• To drive more efficient supplier business models to support the business (understand the business stakeholder operating requirements), source suppliers to meet these requirements, negotiate commercials, technical & SLA requirements, and the most optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the company, and drive the strategy for lower procurement engagement models through eProcurement and supplier self-serve models (reverse auctions).
• To adopt Strategic Sourcing methodologies to achieve overall value chain excellence and cost efficiencies for the company. Contributes towards the overall achievement of Company and Group Savings and ensures subordinate team(s) adopt the Group-level negotiated deals/agreements.

Minimum Requirements of Job

Qualifications:

• BComm / Degree
• MCIPS
• MBA/MBL/Masters

Job Related Experience Required

• Experience in a similar or related environment in a lead procurement/supply chain or senior management position
• (Senior Manager) 6 to 8 years experience in a similar or related environment and 4 of which should be in Managerial position
• Must have extensive experience working in, and knowledge of, the Telecommunications/ICT sectors
