    Senior Marketing Manager - General Entertainment

    Key Performance Objectives

    Strategy and Execution

    • Generate integrated and targeted content marketing strategies that grow market share and the brand’s reputation.
    • Input in the development and implementation of a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments.Ensure alignment of the business and brand objectives to increase awareness, consideration and brand loyalty
    • Develop the value proposition for each campaign/show within the different MAH regions.
    • Establish brands’ annual objectives, strategies, positioning, tactics, and measures.
    • An understanding of all elements of the business (Value chain, distribution, etc.)
    • Input in formulating, developing and implementing creative advertising, media, and promotional campaigns for channels.
    • Obtain customer insight to identify and evaluate strategic and innovative marketing campaigns.

    Operations Deliverables

    • Evaluate market trends to maximise business opportunities and mitigate emerging issues/concerns
    • Lead the development of creative briefs
    • Manage ad agency performance and deliverables including briefing, and development of MAH regions creative assets. Evaluate market trends to address business opportunities and issues.
    • Develop the core positioning and messaging for content within the MAH regions.
    • Tracks and analyses content performance and trends in terms of viewership and channel performance.
    • Constantly monitor performance of content and channels to ensure it meets company objectives
    • Prepare and present regular feedback and performance reports.
    • Lead marketing launch plans for a variety of content campaigns.

    Relationships and Service Support

    • Leverage external and internal networks to identify and optimise opportunities.
    • Identify and analyze potential partner relationships for the content.
    • Maintain close contact with Corporate marketing, Heads of Marketing, Channel Directors and MDs in the MAH regions to ensure alignment on plans.

    Marketing Budget Management

    • Manage annual marketing budget and forecasting activities
    • Track and manage marketing spend for improved efficiency.
    • Continuously identify areas for improved efficiency.
    • Rigorously monitor Marketing performance against approved budgets and put measures in place to address variances.

    People Management

    • Responsible for indirect team’s strength and performance level (attraction, selection, retention & development of Marketing team)
    • Ensure alignment with team strength, performance and energy matching strategic requirements.
    • Ensure direct reports live Company Behaviours
    • Provide regular feedback with regards to the performance of marketing team members Provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff

    Qualifications Essential:

    • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, branding or communication
    • A Post Grad is preferred
    • MBA advantageous 

    Experience

    • A minimum of 8 years marketing experience (or similar experience in commerce, business administration or sales
    • 3 years of management experience
    • Experience in the media and entertainment industry would be beneficialWorking experience in Africa would be beneficial
