Senior Mechanical Engineer at Danté Personnel Recruitment

• My client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with significant EPCM project delivery and large green and brownfield project experience to join their dynamic team. This will be a fixed term contract for 12 months and might be extended based on project requirements and progression. 
• The position shall be primarily based in Bryanston, Johannesburg, South Africa, with regular travel to  Zimbabwe (valid passport required).
• You will be required to be on site to lead and oversee commissioning (C1-C5) activities. Lead mechanical engineering discipline, lead technical evaluations of vendor proposals and commissioning activities.  You will also be required to manage technical risks and ensure Safety compliance.  If you have experience in a platinum processing plant this will be advantageous.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng) or eligibility to obtain registration will be highly advantageous.

• Minimum 12–15 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Extensive experience within mining, minerals processing or heavy industrial projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Extensive construction, commissioning and operational readiness experience.
• Strong vendor management and contractor management experience.
